James Sykes | Appia Energy Exploration Update for Alces Lake High-Grade Rare Earth Property

James Sykes, the Vice President of Exploration and Development with Appia Energy provides an update on the 2018 exploration plans for the company’s Alces Lake Rare Earth Element property.  Alces Lake has already demonstrated some of the highest-grade REE occurrences known in Saskatchewan with grades comparable to those encountered in other world-class deposits.  REE supply is scarce outside of China but is critical for use in magnets and batteries.  The electrical vehicle revolution and the corresponding increase in the number of permanent magnet motors is a main driver of the demand for increased and a more jurisdictionally-stable supply of Rare Earth Elements.

Appia is a Canadian uranium and rare earth Exploration and Development Company with properties in Elliot Lake Ontario and in the Athabasca Basin is Saskatchewan.  Ticker symbol is API on the CSE and APAAF on the OTC in the States.  Appia also trades under the symbol AOI on the German exchanges in Frankfort, Munich and Berlin.  Find more information about the company at www.AppiaEnergy.ca

Over the past decade, James Sykes has been directly and indirectly involved with the discovery of over 450 M lbs. of U3O8 in the Athabasca Basin. Most notably, James was the chief geologist leading the exploration program which resulted in NexGen’s Arrow discovery.
