Wesdome Announces Inclusion Into the Inaugural TSX30 Flagship Program

TORONTO, Sept. 26, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd. (TSX: WDO) (“Wesdome” or the “Company”) today announces its inclusion in the Toronto Stock Exchange’s inaugural TSX30, a flagship program recognizing the 30 top-performing TSX stocks over a three-year period based on dividend-adjusted share price appreciation.

Mr. Duncan Middlemiss, President and CEO, commented, “We are very appreciative and proud to be one of the thirty companies selected by the Toronto Stock Exchange, the world’s premier stock exchange for mining companies, to this program. Our inclusion is a testament to the success of the Company over the last three years as we continue to deliver a strong production growth from the Eagle River Mine in Ontario, while concurrently exploring and developing in the Kiena Mine in Val d’Or, Quebec for a restart.  Our short term objective is to produce at least 200,000 ounces of gold per year from two mines in Canada. I would like to personally thank our Board, management, and employees for sharing this vision and executing towards our mid-tier goal.”

Wesdome Gold Mines has had over 30 years of continuous gold mining operations in Canada.  The Company is 100% Canadian focused with a pipeline of projects in various stages of development.  The Eagle River Complex in Wawa, Ontario is currently producing gold from two mines, the Eagle River Underground Mine and the Mishi Open pit, from a central mill.  Wesdome is actively exploring its brownfields asset, the Kiena Complex in Val d’Or, Quebec.  The Kiena Complex is a fully permitted former mine with a 930-metre shaft and 2,000 tonne-per-day mill.  The Company has further upside at its Moss Lake gold deposit, located 100 kilometres west of Thunder Bay, Ontario.  The Company has approximately 137.2 million shares issued and outstanding and trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol “WDO”.
