Rare Earths Americas Launches US-Brazil Platform to Pursue Heavy Rare Earth Supply

DENVER, Aug. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Rare Earths Americas (“REA” or the “Company”), a critical minerals company, announced its formation and development and exploration plans for high-grade heavy rare earth mineral assets in the United States and Brazil – following a successful A$25.0 million (approximately US$16 million) private raise.

REA combines experienced operators and investors with deep expertise across global mining, energy and critical materials. The company is well positioned to pursue vital rare earth supply chains to support the global energy, defense, and robotics sectors.

A Platform Built for Strategic Advantage

REA’s asset portfolio includes:

  • Foothills (U.S.): A new rare earth district discovery with exceptional rare earth grades of up to 41.3% Total Rare Earth Oxides (TREO) – including high grades of heavy rare earth elements which are used in high performance magnets. Located on private land, this project benefits from outstanding logistics, low-cost power and streamlined permitting pathway.
  • Alpha and Constellation Projects (Brazil): Over 1 billion tons of high-grade, large-scale ionic clay rare earth mineralization, including heavy rare earths dysprosium and terbium that are crucial for high-performance permanent magnets.
  • Homer Project (Brazil): Multiple, large carbonatite clusters with potential for rare earth and niobium discoveries in a region containing some of the world’s premium niobium mines.

REA’s launch coincides with the convergence of geopolitical and market forces disrupting traditional rare earth supply chains.

“The rare earths market is undergoing a generational shift as the West races to secure its rare earths future. With grade and strategic geography on our side, we intend to advance our rare earths projects to support the long-term supply of critical materials essential to domestic innovation,” said Donald Swartz, Chief Executive Officer of Rare Earths Americas.
