Takeya USA names John Sanchez as President and CEO
Industry veteran to lead hydration company’s next phase of growth
COSTA MESA, Calif., Aug. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Takeya USA, a leading designer and manufacturer of reusable food and beverage container solutions, today announced the appointment of John Sanchez as the company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective as of July 9, 2025. In his new role, John will oversee strategic direction and all aspects of the business for both the TAKEYA and ThermoFlask brands.
Mr. Sanchez brings more than 25 years of transformational leadership and brand building experience in the consumer products industry with a passion for lifestyle driven product design and innovation. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Global Product Strategy at Oakley (Sports Hub division of Essilor-Luxottica). In his role, Sanchez drove product innovation and aligned global strategies across diverse markets. Prior to Oakley, he spent a decade in leadership roles in eyewear and outdoor brands such as Costa Sunglasses, Bushnell Outdoor Products, Maui Jim sunglasses and Zeal Optics.
Sanchez developed best-of-class commercial and operational experience throughout his career and has been mentored by some of the best CEO’s, owners, and executives in the industry. He has a proven track record of accelerating global growth and expanding product offerings in meaningful ways.

As CEO, Mr. Sanchez will oversee all aspects of the US business, headquartered in Costa Mesa, California, including the company’s engineering development office in Osaka, Japan, and its distribution operations center in Ohio.
He will also guide the long-term vision of building the company into a global food storage and drinkware brand anchored in sustainability, culture, and design.
